On Monday and Tuesday, I am in Berlin, participating in several sessions that are part of a Klopotek Publishers’ Forum themed “Context enhances content“. Forum organizer Helmut von Berg invited me to join the meeting and present “Context first”.
I’ll also have an opportunity to accompany Anna von Veh of Say Books in a session she calls “Improvising madly”. In it, von Veh explains how structure in jazz provides the building blocks for improvisation, much as structure in content provides the building blocks for innovation and recombination.
Yesterday, Publishing Perspectives posted an overview of the meeting, in which I learned that the conference venue has its own story. It’s always fun for me to present “Context first”, but this will be the first time I’ve had a chance to offer it in a building designed by Frank Gehry.
