Quantum Media regularly hosts a series of breakfast conversations with "media gurus". In December I posted part of the upcoming schedule, which includes Pottermore CEO Charlie Redmayne, who is speaking next Tuesday, February 5.
Organized by Quantum principal Ava Seave, the discussion will touch upon some of the work done to bring Pottermore, now a community of 40 million registered users, to life. I've been asked to moderate the event.
Media Guru breakfasts take place at the Harvard Club of New York (27 West 44th Street in midtown Manhattan). A light breakfast is served starting at 7:30, with the program starting at 8 a.m. and ending promptly at 9 a.m. Next Tuesday, we'll divide the time evenly between some prepared discussion and questions from those attending.
If you would like to join the discussion with Charlie Redmayne, there are still some seats available ($25 if you are a member of the Harvard Business School Club of New York; $55 otherwise). Future media guru events are also scheduled and include:
- Albert Cheng, EVP & Chief Product Officer, Digital Media at Disney/ABC TV Group (Feb 27)
- David Liu, Cofounder and Chief Executive Officer, XO Group (Apr 17)
- Madeleine McIntosh, COO Random House (May 21)
- Mike Perlis, President & CEO, Forbes Media (Jun 13)
The Quantum event listings also include a description of an upcoming "media disruptor" event with Jon Axelrod of Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator, scheduled for March 14.
