O’Reilly Media has posted video interviews with a range of people presenting at their Web 2.0 conference. In one of my favorites. O’Reilly editor Mac Slocum interviews Nancy Duarte about presentation effectiveness.
Duarte is CEO and principal of the firm that wants to change the way presentations are created and delivered. She is also the author of two books, Slide:ology and Resonate, that clearly and persuasively call for a new approach.
In developing the presentation that eventually became “Context first”, we relied heavily on the thinking on display in Slide:ology. I wrote a bit about the process in an earlier post.
The lessons we learned in developing the presentation started with Nancy Duarte’s work. Both the books and the short interview are highly recommended.
