A few weeks ago, a friend said I should look at Up-Goer, which tells you when you write with anything other than the ten hundred most used words. I did look.
It is harder than I thought it would be to write with only the most used words. Every idea had to be changed to fit the words I could use. Often, I tried words that I was sure would be okay, only to find that they were not allowed.
One thing is sure. My writing would be even shorter if I used only the top ten hundred words. On its own, that might be a good thing. I would miss the rest of the words, though.
[Yes, I wrote all of this using Up-Goer. It passed.]
