It’s resolution time.
Via Twitter, I learned yesterday that Woody Guthrie’s 1942 list had 33 items, including an ambitious “Help win war – beat Fascism”. My list is simpler. In fact, it is one thing:
Write something useful every day.
A while back I posted a summary of my three guideposts for this blog: link out; add value; and be constructive. An end-of-year “lessons learned” post on a custom-publishing blog reminded me of these rules, which I’ve mostly followed. But, it added one more: “Be consistent”.
The coming year will present a host of opportunities to improve how we create, manage and disseminate content. At the same time, there are threats, many of them baked into our traditional views of how publishing should work. There is plenty to talk about, and I hope to contribute in at least 366 concise and useful ways.
