O’Reilly Media’s Andrew Savikas has compiled a directory of useful links to the discussion/debate about the proposed Google Book Search settlement, which is up for review and possible approval early in May. In my collaborations with O’Reilly and with Andrew, I’ve come to know him as a diligent and thoughtful curator (among other fine qualities). If you’re interested in learning more about the proposed settlement, start with his work.
Edited to add: I came across this recent blog post from the Ashley Grayson Literary Agency. The link may make its way into Andrew’s summary, but I wanted to add it here, as well. Agents have not been vocal about the settlement, so this is an unusual critique at the moment.
