Earlier this week, Don Linn posted a trenchant critique of the chattering class. It resonated (and chastened).
Since starting this blog a bit more than two years ago, I’ve tried to stay close to three basic rules of thumb. On occasion, I’ve come close enough to breaking the third one, loosely summarized as “no snark”.
So, in partial penance (today’s the day for it), I offer a link to a Fishbowl interview with Mark Edmiston, a former Newsweek publisher who says it is too early to tell if the changes made at the magazine will reverse its fortunes.
Both Linn and Edmiston make good points. Those of us who don’t have skin in the game should either get some or find a way to help, not hinder.
