Retiring ‘context first’

This coming Friday (September 28), I am part of an evening forum co-sponsored by the New York City chapter of the American Society for Indexing (ASI) and The Division of Library and Information Science at St. John's University. At the forum, I'll be presenting "Context first", likely for the last time*, and answering questions about both the presentation and Book: A Futurist's Manifesto.

The event is scheduled to take place between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Saval Auditorium, a part of the St. John's campus that can be found at 101 Murray Street in Manhattan. Members of the general public can attend for $25, and there are discounts available for students and ASI members.

The organizers plan to offer opportunities for networking (with refreshments!) between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. I'll follow with a presentation and then answer questions. I've also been asked to bring copies of the new book, which will be available for purchase and signing. The physical book came out just last month, and this is my first signing.

Tickets may be bought at the door. Additional information is available by downloading a PDF that describes the event and related arrangements. If you have a chance to join the discussion, be sure to introduce yourself. The time given over to Q&A is generous, and I promise to avoid being long-winded.

*Yes; it's time to move on. The web links will remain.
